Paul Mihalka
Will double from 8.000 personnel to 16.000. A embassy with 16.000? Gimmy a break! http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5j8e-qLsSTsWD6_uDG6xD0DyoXVsA?docId=CNG.3bf4105ffa63410f8b0d2165e00d15f5.221 Link to comment
tallman
Seems like quite a few will be private security providers. Job creation during a recession is good, right? Bigger question is, where will the military personnel end up? Will this reduce the overall number of soldiers in the military or redistribute the soldiers around the world? Will the new embassy workers be new hires or reassigned personnel? I bet all of them will have small arms training. Link to comment
MT Wallet
It's only money! When did we start paying attention to that? Link to comment
casticus
Going out on a limb here but if the entire Military mission becomes advisory in nature everyone in country might fall under the Embassy's umbrella so to speak.... Link to comment
