Putzmeister Reactor Entombment Devices; or, Putzmeister isn't putzing around

For maximum, long-term appreciation, buy one today and store it near the GE Mark 1 Nuclear Reactor in your neighborhood.

Only Putzmeister is Chernobyl-tested and approved by your local nuclear regulatory agency. Kinda' like an ultimate FUBAR UL listing, eh?

I feel a lot better now, knowing that Putzmeister is on the way. Once there, we can really wash that nasty radiation into the ocean.

Pacific Salmon or Alaskan King Crab anyone?

These are just pumpers right? Who is bringing the cement, sand, gravel and water that goes into these things?

What happens when Japan is finished with them? Do we want them back?

Putzmeister. Sounds like something out of an Onion article.

FreeTranslation says "putz" is German for "plaster." Maybe a reference to the concrete the truck dispenses?

PlasterMaster. I like that better.

Putz (to putz) is also a verb. A verb no less for cleaning, as in: I am putzing my bike - or, I am putzing reactor Number 1, 2, 3 and 4 until they gleam and glow.

Fellow I know was in Italy during Chernobyl. He told me a tale about convoys of dump trucks being escorted as fast as they could go north toward the mess. I imagine there were similar convoys headed in from other parts of Europe.

My guess is that Japan is going to have to get the Chinese to ship it over to them. Barges a bunch, I should think.
