MarkyP Posted March 22, 2011 Share Posted March 22, 2011 I've got a small crack on my OEM windshield running from one of the mounting holes. Any suggestions on a product/fix to repair this or I am better off replacing the shield? The crack is covered by the mounting "bracket" on the front of the shield, so I'm less concerned about looks and more about safety. Thanks all. Link to comment
Boffin Posted March 22, 2011 Share Posted March 22, 2011 To stop the crack getting worse, carefully drill a hole right at the end of the crack - about 1/8 inch should work. This is called stop-drilling and is an effective way of preventing the crack propogating provided you do not have any crack beyond the hole Andy Link to comment
