RichEdwards
Good article: Dog exercise Here's my "Dog Family" on yesterday's hike in the woods. Four dogs, three adults, five kids, about three miles. Link to comment
Kathy R
That sure is a nice looking place to take a walk Both the dog and the fresh air do as much for my mental wellbeing as does the physical exercise. That being said, I am eager to enjoy being outdoors in the coming months sans coat, gloves, boots and hat! Link to comment
David13
No question. One of the benefits, or one of the detriments of having a dog or dogs is that they must go for a walk twice a day. Preferably a long walk, preferably a fast walk. Cats won't go even if given the opportunity. dc Link to comment
Shaman97
Old adage: "If your dog's overweight, you need more exercise." Link to comment
FlyingFinn
How true. Over the years I've learned the only way that keeps the weight from slowly accumulating around my mid section is to own an active dog. I don't currently have a dog.... -- Mikko Link to comment
MT Wallet
Thanks for pointing out that if the dog is fat so am I. I thought it was just him Link to comment
notacop
Who carries the bag for the Crap your dog leaves in the woods, the youngest child? Or do you not care about the next person along the path? Link to comment
MT Wallet
If the bear s--t in the woods isn't a big deal, why is the dog crap? It all breaks down anyway. If you're woods wise you don't step in it. Link to comment
RichEdwards
Amen. This is the woods, not the carefully manicured streets where the condo-police wait to complain about EVERYTHING associated with dogs and kids. And I assure you that a child who is able to walk three miles is out of diapers. Link to comment
