rdc
Quick question: My Moto brackets mount on the lower caliper bolt. Can I just loosen the lower caliper bolt? Or, do I have to loosen both the top and bottom caliper bolt together…to keep the pressure the same? …and then retighten them together. Can I tighten to the torque values stated in the book at 30nm or is it better to just use “feel.” I searched the archives and could not see this question addressed. 99Roadster
You can just loosen the one you need and use the correct torque value. On something as critical as this component it's not worth considering doing any other way. If you want to be sure they are both torqued correctly, loosen and torque them both. Link to comment
