rdc Posted March 17, 2011 Share Posted March 17, 2011 I had to pull the fuel tank on my R1200RT. There was a fuel leak in the plastic boss, but that's another story. My question is: Can I leave the tank empty sitting in my garage for a few weeks? I didn't know if all that stuff in there (fuel pump, fuel strip, etc.) might not like it...being without some gas sloshing around in there. I know those things were dry once...but wasn't sure if maybe I should put some gas in the tank... I haven't removed the filler cap or fuel pump assembly yet, so those are still sealed.
