The 1st annual BMW Riders of Tampa Bay Campout is set. The dates will be April 8,9 and 10, 2011. The location will be Wekiva Falls Resort http://www.wekivafallsresort.com/tent_camping.html in Sorrento which is about 15 miles east of Mt. Dora just off State Road 46 in Central Florida. The cost will be $16.00 per person for both nights camping and all the activities (or $8.00 if you stay only one night) payable upon your arrival. Activities include a Hotdog roast Friday night, coffee both mornings, a ride Saturday afternoon and a campfire Saturday night. If you wish it bring a RV it will be $35.00 per night for water and electric hookups.

Jay Klamer is organizing this and he needs to give the campground a count and list of names (for check in) the week before the campout. Please e-mail him by April 1st ( jay.klamer@yahoo.com ) and let him know how many are in your party and if you will be camping or RVing. This should be a lot of fun and is in a great location so don't miss out.

Don't be surprised if you get a lot of Lame-oh's asking where the motels are.

Nice to see some one knows what a motorcycle and tent are for.

The Motor homes should have been referred to a place 10 miles away.

Nothing sadder than a towed motorcyclist showing up wanting to be part of something they some how can't understand. Bike, tent, camp out!

Rich,

Sounds like a good idea.

Relatives in town then so I'm most likely not going to make it down but I hope you have a geat turnout regardless of how they get there or what they ride.

Best wishes.

Hey Rich, while you're there ride over to Rock Springs (Kelly Park), take a dip in the springs and float down the run, it's like no other springs in Florida. It's the headwaters of the Wekiva, and the road there (435) is pretty good too, for Fla. :)

May take a cruise down, we'll see.

Bringing this up to the top because we need an accurate count as the Campout date approaches. If you're coming, see info above about letting the Campout Weekend coordinator know about it.
