tsp
I got 2 BMW plugs on my 2010 RT but I want to add a regular 12V plug up front so that I can plug in my XM radio. I got a plug in the tank bag but then I can't remove or flip the bag over to gas up so I want it mounted on the bike out of sight. Is the brace for the fairing that is right behind the headlights a good option? Is there a better place. I have the waterproof plug that has the spring loaded door. Should work just about anywhere. GRB60
You can buy an adapter to convert the BMW Powerlet plug to a cigarette lighter style plug and use one of the existing plugs. To keep the wires looking nice, I'd look into getting a hard wire cord and install that to the aux fuse block. Ebay has a lot of listings for power cords of all kinds. Link to comment
TF1200RT
I added a 12V lighter plug in the speaker panel. It is wired to the battery and is fused in the plug itself. I did use a Bridgeport milling machine to get the hole perfect. I use it for the XM Pioneer Inno. Link to comment
