taylor1
Greetings, I am just wondering if anyone has installed the Muth signal mirrors ,and would like their perspective on how they work and there installation Thanks Link to comment
dan cata
I found a pic of the mirrors on theyre website: Looks nice, but the price is huge, for what it does... What I had in mind was installing some Yellow LED signals on the fairnigs, in the front, just like on the k1600 GT/L What do you thingk? Would it be too kitschy? Dan Link to comment
Danny caddyshack Noonan
I have some that came with the bike. I like them as it just adds that much more conspicuity. I don't think I'd pay for them though. I like Dans LED idea. See the dash light thread with 8 dollar Walmart LEDs. Link to comment
dan cata
The singals on the fairing should be cheap to implement. Bright LED stripe/rolls are available averywhere and the price is just above 10$ for the whole project? +/-... Link to comment
NonComp
My ST1300 just has an amber LED incorporated into the mirror design, facing back. It might be easy to add an LED behind the mirror and tape it so that it would peek out of the gap between mirror and bodywork. Link to comment
taylor1
Dan I think your idea is great, anything to make the drivers in front or behind you more aware is certainly worth more than a pound of flesh. I am just curious ,as I have found these for around 1/3 of the original cost.If it pans out I will be more than happy to share my info. Also I had to go to a sight and look at the K1600GT/L ,as I had not seen it yet. What a sweet bike ! Link to comment

You would have to peel off the layer that's behind the glass for that, and I don't think you would like that. Anyway, I have a spare broken mirror and a new one. I will take some LED's and test the job on the broken one. If the result is satis[censored]ing, then I will peel the new ones as well Link to comment

There are no k16GT in Romania AFAIK so far, but I have seen the youtube videos of it and the signals are looking like taken from a porn movie Wiring them should be easy, just connect the LED's to the bulbs in the mirrirs and that's it Dan.
