There are a huge amount of exhibits and events planned, but be sure to catch the historic plane flyover on February 12th! You know you wanted to take your sweetie to a romantic getaway in Coronado for Valentines Day!! Genuine WWII flat-top...some of the docents are WWII sailors. All great guys with some wonderful insight and incredible stories. Link to comment

I visited them about 25 years ago when their base was in Harlingen, TX. It was great. Museum and restoration all in one. Guys working on the old planes, when you got there they stopped working and started to explain. Link to comment

You can even watch them in the restoration room. They have a lot of interesting pieces. Have any of you Texans visited the Commemorative Air Force Museum (was Confederate Air Force, I guess "Commemorative" is more PC) in Midland, TX? I visited them about 25 years ago when their base was in Harlingen, TX. It was great. Museum and restoration all in one.
