Danny caddyshack Noonan
Just a check to see if anyone else has had a hose rupture. Not sure if it's a weak point or driven by the PO who had absolutely worn out the rear rotor. "Gots to be saving my fronts for when I need them???" Might also be a clue to my ABS failure but don't know about that....yet. Link to comment
RT Russ
I have an 02 1150RT and had a front brake hose fail. Went with Braided Stainless lines front and rear. Link to comment
AndyS
Just a check to see if anyone else has had a hose rupture. Where did it rupture? bad routing can cause abrasion. Bad maintenance can cause problem - if the engineer bends the pipe too sharply and can cause a stress raiser. And Stainless will not protect you from the 2 issues above! Andy Link to comment
dan cata
I had a bad front hose on my 1100GS, from the pump to the splitter. It used to rub against the dash frame, and I changed it. The replacement was OEM, but a different year I guess, because it was somehow shorter and didn't rub anymore Dan. Link to comment
Danny caddyshack Noonan
Rubber hose that is. This one went at the banjo on the caliper. Link to comment
kmac
I need to check my rear brake hose. My rear brake is so spongie. I have bled it multiple times, it is not air in the line. The brake lever travels way to far, and never has that firm feel i think it should. It could be the rear brake hose is soft and expanding. Thanks for the reminder to check that. Link to comment
