John Ranalletta
Got an email purportedly from Adobe to upgrade the reader. Looking at the header info, the return email is: 1342dfd15layfovciatke43yaaaaabn3e6r7serig44yaaaaa@email.walgreens.com Looks like Walgreen's server have been hijacked or spoofed. Don't click on th upgrade url in the message if you receive it. Link to comment
Jerry Johnston
Good advice ! I always check the properties on an email I don't recognize, but something that says Walgreens if you're dealing with them you tend to trust. Link to comment
Selden
Ignore any e-mail that recommends a software upgrade. The software itself should take care of that. Link to comment
Boffin
Ignore any e-mail that recommends a software upgrade. The software itself should take care of that. +1 - also, never, ever, click on a link in an unsolicited email - that is the principal route for the instalation of trojans. Andy Link to comment
tallman
I'm sorry Andy, but y'all must do it differently over there. I would link to their site on "how to put on"... but I'll just leave well enough alone. Link to comment
John Ranalletta
What's troublesome is that I just did some online business with Walgreens (photo prints) in the last week. Could be a coincidence but could be someone hacked their servers and got customer data. Link to comment
