jfremder
I had a package shipped to our weekend retreat via 'UPS Basic'. I've had packages delivered there via UPS Ground before. This time the UPS Driver leaves our correctly addressed package at the Post Office 11 miles away? Huh? Now I have to pick it up from there, as we don't get mail delivery at the cabin. Has anyone else had this problem? Link to comment
Shaman97
Apparently, you aren't in an area that is profitable for UPS to make the delivery, so they (UPS) send it via USPS. USPS handles it (at a loss). Then we all get to pay higher postage stamp prices as a result of the loss (indirectly) Read all about it Link to comment

notacop
It's called marketing. Brown gets you to pay them money to have another company do the work. USPS is mandated to deliver to every address in the country, at a rate that is supposed to let them break even. Isn't working. All the other companies set their own rates dependent on costs. If you want to help the situation, send it by USPS. There are several shipping options and good values. If you don't get delivery at your distant abode, that's your choice of dwelling. Brown doesn't deliver to houses that are addressed by PO boxes. Link to comment

Not sure what you mean by that, UPS comes to my house frequently where USPS won't come at all (no street delivery) I believe the poster meant UPS doesn't deliver to a PO Box address. We have a PO Box and UPS does deliver to our street address; however, the street address has to be on the "ship to" info provided. Link to comment
