boatzo Posted July 3, 2010 Share Posted July 3, 2010 Well, I made the decision to to change to a K1200LT. I am taking delivery of a 1999 (can't stay away from that year) from one of our members on Tuesday. My hopes are that my wife will ride with me and I am just not comfortable on long rides on my RT. I love my RT and feel very confident wrenching it when needed, but I think it is time for a change. I will be listing it for sale after I've had a chance to really get the feel of the LT. (I want to be real sure). Most of all I will miss the beautiful Glacier Green color. It always gets a lot of comments where ever I go. Link to comment
bmwsit Posted July 3, 2010 Share Posted July 3, 2010 Went from my GS to an LT for the same reason, so my wife would ride with me more. She likes it so much better than my old R or my GS. Now her issues is falling asleep and missing the scenery! I think once finances turn around, will keep the LT and then grab up an older RTP or an 05'ish K1200GT for single more sporting rides.
