SikDMAX
Ill have to get pictures this evening - but I had my city system cases off for some maintenance, and I see scrape marks on the inside of my spokes. The pin that holds the pads in the caliper came half way out! When the spoke hit it it bent the pin at a 45º angle as well as wedging the pin into the pad. I changed my rear brake pads 1000 miles ago, I have no idea how long it has been like this, but I dont remember ever feeling anything drastic, but imagine the results could have been quite major So I need the new pin and I think thats it - checking on MaxBMW is this the correct part number? 34212330313 Link to comment
Paul Mihalka
It is the correct number, and it comes with a retainer at the pin end to prevent it falling out. Link to comment
AndyS
SikMAX, sorry to hear your tail of woe, but in the scheme of things it's easy to get on the road again. (could have been a gearbox input shaft fail). It sounds as if the little retaining 'C' clip wasn't fitted, or got pulled off at some point. Andy Link to comment
