Dave Faria
I just cleaned mine really well and want to know what points to lubricate. I am going to wd40 the locks and follow with 3 in 1 oil in the locks the next day. What else on the latching mechanism and where??? Would a spray chain grease be good for the pivot point internal to the latch??? Or should I not lube anything internal??? Thanks Link to comment

Thanks Not that we all haven’t done the WD-40 thing in an old lock; however, it really is a short term fix, so is the oil. They both attract dirt and grit and can lead to a worn lock faster. Graphite is a better “lubricant”; it is dry and attracts little dirt. There are a number of graphic sprays and lubes made for the purpose of lock lubrication. Link to comment
