JoeR Posted May 31, 2010 Share Posted May 31, 2010 I recently bought a '99 R1100rt that had some...problems (link below, photo attached): http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=601392&page=1 Well, I'm happy to announce that with the help of RightSpin (and the "supervision" of REVjimenez) the bike is running great. New fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines, o rings and fuel filter (around $350 in parts); TPS 0=0, TBS sync, valve job, fluids changed and she turned over twice and started right up. Prior to that, you hand to crank it over for 5-10 minutes (with some ether in the air intake) just to get it to idle (and a very rough idle at that, if it didn't stall). I want to pass along my thanks to Steve (RightSpin); his insight and time saved me what would have been a very expensive trip to a dealer. If you see Steve, tell him he did a good thing.
