Recommend an iPod remote?

Got a new iPod Touch for my birthday last week. I'm looking for a remote control for it, for use on my R1200RT. Do I have options, or is there just one available only from Apple? Is there something out there that's waterproof, or do I have to stash the remote away every time it rains?

Yesterday I wired up an aux input to my stock car stereo on my Maxima, since the iPod will be used here most of the time. I would like to keep the iPod itself tucked away somewhere secure/hidden, which means I'm looking for a good remote control for the car as well, probably a separate unit from the one on the bike. Ideas welcome...

I use the Monster iEZClick

It was designed for outdoor activity and is waterproof. You can take off the rubber outer band and velcro it to the clutch resevoir.

I have one of these and unfortunately, I'm not much of fan. For me it worked very erratically with the buttons sometimes working and sometimes not. It also had the very annoying habit of suddenly turning the volume to max and then disabling the buttons...not at all pleasant when riding down the road with earphones on under your helmet. From the reviews on Amazon, it looks like I wasn't the only one to have issues. It is a great concept if you can get one that works.

I finally gave up on the iPod and loaded my music to my zumo.

I've got the iJet products. They seem to work okay. One problem with many of these is if you get them too close to the ipod, they do not seem to work as well. Not sure why.

I have a couple lying around if you want to borrow one for a while. Shot me pm.

Oh yeah, Mitch -

About the rain thing. I leave my iJet remote on the round plastic cap between the bars (attached with hook and loop) and I've never taken it off when it rains (or pours). It has been soaked, which may explain why mine acts dodgy from time to time, though it still works.

Mitch I use on of these. Works very well and can pass through a charger if needed. Not sure how waterproof but have'nt had an issue yet in light rain. http://www.scosche.com/products/sfID1/210/sfID2/324/productID/527

I second this recommendation. Can't beat the pass-thru charging system.

The remote can handle light rain but I'd put it away in anything more than a drizzle. This remote works with the new Nano as well.
