Since weather all of a sudden improved dramatically this weekend, more than doubling the temperature in over 24 hours, Nina and I decided to go and have lunch along the coast for a change. In spite of the fierce northerly winds the ride was pleasant and warm-ish..... at least Nina didn't complain, so I must have been sweating! I made a few pictures with our little Nikon Coolshot. I am having increasing problems with my own camera and decided to leave it at home. Apologies for the rather pale (and not so cool) shots.... The RT on the special bikes parking just right to the center of 'where it is all happening' in Egmond aan Zee. Funny play boat for the smallest ... Nina wouldn't let me sit in it even though 'Nijntje Pluis' (that's the rabbit's name) is one of my favorites. So instead we found us an empty table at one of the many restaurants... all crowded with sunbathers after this long winter. Don't know if I'll eat much anymore tonight..... Here's the 'entrance' to the beach village, 'Main Street'... And here, of course, the beach with the dunes and the North Sea beyond...... We 'climbed' up to the base of the light house for a parting shot, before heading home..... Link to comment
