I need to replace the battery undr the tank. What all tuperware

will I need to pull?

The Aux Battery is gone, and I kinda want one. What Battery, and

if I want the old Authority connector to be used for other things, what plugs do I need.

The cigarette lighter plug on the dash does not function. What will

I nne to do? I dont know if the other plugs work yet (One at the dash - Right, and the one below the seat.

No manual or tools came with the bike.

The front brak line weeps at the couplings and I have a set coming in. How much tupperware will I need to pull for that?

If these Q's have already been asked, a link will be appreciated.

To replace the battery under the tank u need to pull off the left

side. Remove the snorkel and rubber, battery slides out to the left.

Auxilliary battery is same type as main. I like westco and oddysey.

The terminals for the authority fused connections are under the floorplate of th radio box. Some are switched some are always hot. You need to trace them with meter or circuit tester.

I just cut off the old plugs and spliced to the wires.

Some questions can only be answered by the guy that removed the

police equipment.

Wiring diagrams and sevice manual are online at www.bmwmc.net

Will I have to pull the entire left fairing off?

Seems like quite a project just to get to the battery...

The electrical outlet under the grab handle, is that used to plug in a trickle charger?

BTW, thanks for the help and replies. My manners

Yes you do.

It works that way on my RT-P. BTW, when I got my bike the dash outlet didn't work either. I ran new wires to an Eastern Beaver PC-8 I put in the radio box. I didn't feel like digging through the authority wiring in the fuse box.

I did it! I removed the left fairing. Took about 2 hours and I was being slow, and noting if a long screw came out (and from).

I dilly dallied some as while apart I coule clean the 10 yr old

dirt.

Started at 830am, finished 430pm (again with some dilly dallying)

went together easier than I thought.

This will make me think more about attacking the replacement of the front brake line. Looks like a total dismantling will occur/

Thanks for the help, again
