basilr
I have a 2005 R1200RT that I am taking across Canada this summer. I plan on taking two dry bags strapped on behind me plus of course, the panniers and a tank bag. There doesn't seem to be a lot of places to attach tie down straps so rather than trying to re-invent the wheel, I wonder if there are others here that could share their tie down systems. Pictures would be nice, and if you have any, my email is basilr@cablelan.net. Thanks. Link to comment
Alan D
Roc straps tied to the passenger grab rails and mounted in an X pattern do an excellent job. http://www.rokstraps.com/ Link to comment
Joe_C
I used that method but wasn't 100% pleased with the outcome. I'm putting some bungie buddies on the paniers so I can secure the bags better. I'll take some pictures. Link to comment

basilr
I used Photobucket to post a couple of pics on a different forum but it was a long time ago, although I think it was fairly easy. Link to comment
xbubblehead
Roc straps tied to the passenger grab rails and mounted in an X pattern do an excellent job. http://www.rokstraps.com/ +1 on da Roc straps, they are very quick and easy to use but are very secure. I use the x pattern as well. Link to comment
RGMIII
I use Helen 2 Wheels pack straps tied to the passenger grab rails and mounted in an X pattern thru the handles of my Ortlieb Dry Bag. This bag is mounted on my passenger seat. Sorry I don't have a picture but this pdf might give you a feel for what I am describing.
