RxCritical
Great riding weather here this week, highs in the 70's. What do I do? Why break my foot digging a hole. Not a happy camper here. Link to comment
Rocks Jr.
As much as it sucks, at least you didn't break your foot by crashing your bike. What's your recovery time looking like? Link to comment

Not sure, see ortho doc tomorrow, luckily appears to be a stress type of fracture not a complete break. Yes, crashing bike and breaking foot would be much worse. Link to comment

Well, I hope you've learned your lesson about the danger of digging holes when you could be riding! Hope you are back in the saddle soon. Link to comment
RxCritical
ATGATT. This made me laugh!! I was wearing a good pair of boots. But I guess when you get older jumping up and down on a shovel is a bigger deal than it used to be! Link to comment
boatzo
Well, you were probably digging the hole as a "honey do" project (hope it wasn't work). So at least she won't be upset as she might have been if you had done it on the bike. Link to comment
Selden
Until last month, I had broken more bones, and smacked my head worse around home than from motorcycle get offs, and ATGATT might have helped, but it's awkward to wear at home. I'm afraid it's true that as we get older, fractures are more likely, and probably heal slower. I'm enrolled in a longitudinal health study, and was shocked at how low my bone density was, despite supplemental calcium and vitamin D for the past decade. Link to comment
