Bigfish
I need to remove the ignition switch to fix a broken wire. Looking to do the minimum disassemble. Battery is disconnected. Is it possible to get the ignition out without pulling off the top fork brace? Link to comment

Boffin
The harness is plugged into the base of the switch assembly, I have not yet had to disconnect the harness to repair one, but it would give more access. The electrical switch/harness from the base of the switch to the main harness is available as a spare for about $100 should you choose to take that route. Andy Link to comment

Andy When I repaired mine I did not remove anything more then the wire-loom/electrical switch(s) from the keyed fork lock/switch assembly. Unfortunately I do not remember the details other then I needed a very small flat screwdriver. A picture is worth a thousand words..... Wish I took the time to snap a few. I think Bill (Twisty 1) gave me a tip or two. Link to comment
ESokoloff
Is it possible to get the ignition out without pulling off the top fork brace? No. Yes as you only need to drop the wire loom/switch out/down from the assembully to repair or replace the loom. Link to comment
