R1200RT final drive oil change

Hi all,

 

I do hope everyone is well and looking forward to the upcoming riding season. I know, I know, some of you have tons of miles on. Not us in the NE. I was looking for the article on the 1200RT final drive and transmission oil change. Not having much luck with the search function. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong with searching or shot me a link to one of the many articles that were written here.

It may be buried much later in that thread, but be aware that since first posted, the re-fill fluid quantity hs been changed; it's now 180 ml, and the specified FD fluid is Castrol SAF-XO (that's a 75W90 GL-5 synthetic).

Yep, it's in there.

 

Also, the new service interval specified by BMW for all final drives is 600 miles and then every 12,000 mile service thereafter.
