Hi Phil/just got a note from my daughter and might have to change the date by a day. I'll PM you and repost when we figure it out. Be good to see both of you tho I was planning on coming by at some point during that week if convenient.

We'll leave the light on! Just let us know what you plan and we'll try to work around your schedule.

The 24th stays/daughters boyfriend can't make friday or sunday so day stays the same. Katie was riding pillion this time so I'll see if someone can bring her, if not she will drive. I'll call a few days ahead. I don't even have a back seat! :dopeslap:

I'll be in Yosemite.

How long you gonna be around Marty?

And sorry I missed you. I was detailed to a station that is the black hole of phone signal.

Hi Dad, I got an account on here. Don't worry ... I won't embarrass you. (You can do that on your own. )

So yeah, if someone wouldn't mind letting me ride pillion that'd be great, I ride but don't currently have a bike of my own. Otherwise I'll cage it which is also OK with me.

We'll try to make it.

Although we'll have to figure out a new way, since the 580/101 interchange is reported to be virtually impassable for the remainder of the year due to roadwork.

Welcome Kathryn!

Was at the interchange today about 12:00 and it was clear. I suspect it is during the commute hours that it might be really congested. If I get a chance I'll run by there earlier and see what it looks like.

Thanks, Thor. Was that on 101 itself? The problem is reported to be on 580 to 101 interchange and its reverse. That has always been bad, but a TV news report says it is even worse than usual for the rest of the year.

I figure we could maybe take 580 across the bridge, take the San Quentin exit and work our way over to the coast. Or hwy 37 and through Novato.

Both times I was on 580 heading toward 101. I need to go over to Ikea in the morning so I'll let you know how it looks going both ways.

Just back from Ikea. Going there on 580 from 101 was no problem at about 10:00. Coming back at 11:30 there it took me about 8 minutes to get from 580 to 101 at the interchange. The back-up included the turn-off at Bellam Blvd. The first turn off after leaving the Richmond Bridge (Francisco Blvd. East was clear as was the Sir Francis Drake exit.

Looks like your having a great time. Glad the weather has cooperated. Kathryn, hope to meet you someday....make sure to keep your Dad in line, if that's possible....:wave:

Ummm .... OK. Was this a gag? Was this one of those tricks "We'll tell Pete and Jane to meet us one place, while we all go someplace else?!

We were there in Marshall, couldn't find a place called Nick's Cove. We went a few miles north (having come from the south) to see if it was maybe actually outside town. No luck. No sign of a bunch of BMWs, only a couple of Harleys here and there.

We retreated to our usual stop, The Station House in Pt. Reyes Station, and had lunch there (with some interesting Tangerine-Wheat Beer). Afterward we headed north through Marshall again to take Marshall - Petaluma Road back, still no Nick's Cove or a bunch of BMW's anywhere. :(

Sorry we missed you somehow. We'd looked forward to seeing you again, Marty, meeting Kathryn, and seeing the rest of the group. I hope you all were able to get together somewhere.

Peter, I feel terrible. Nick's cove is 3.5 miles north of the marshall-pet road on the water. We were there from noon till about 2ish. Honest!

Another time for sure. I had lunch in the station house a few days ago after riding up to see the lighthouse.

It's OK, Marty. We must've turned back just short of the place! There aren't but a half-dozen buildings in Marshall, so we couldn't understand how we could miss it?! Like you say, next time.

I hope we get a Ride Tale and some pictures.

Maybe Jane and I need to explore it on our own sometime, so we'll know where it is. :)
