Pictou
Does anyone know if the Ohlins I have on my 05 will fit a 2010? I have the itch to upgrade but not if I can't have my Ohlins. Link to comment
CoarsegoldKid
My guess is yes. Go take a look at one. Tell the dealer what your concerns are. I'm sure they will measure for you while you watch. Link to comment
Pictou
I already spoke with the chief mechanic at the local shop and he said he would have to have one apart before he could tell. He is a good mechanic but pretty conservative. The best I could get out of him was probably. So anyone else have any "inside" information? Link to comment

GordonB
The rear paralever/swingarm was redesigned to accomodate the "new" ESA, so the mounting point at the bottom may be different. Link to comment
John in VA
So anyone else have any "inside" information? As "inside" as you can get: If you go to sjbmw.com's connection to BMW's official parts fiche, you'll find that the NON-ESA front strut for, say, a 2008 R1200RT is part # 31 42 7 683 139. Looking up the front strut for the 2010 R1200RT shows the front strut part # 31 42 7 683 139. I didn't look up the rears, but it's a good bet they're the same also. So whether your 2010 has ESA or not, you should be able to install Ohlins that fit any 2005+ RT. So go for it! Link to comment
