I know there are many shippers via the web. However, I personally do not know of and have never used any shipping company for bikes. Looking for one that would service Atlanta to Phx.

Anyone use a reputable one that I can call for a quote?

let me know, thanks. Dave

I sold a V-strom to a remote buyer and shipped it from Portland to Denver. Good price, great service, everything according to plan. If you ship terminal to terminal it is significantly cheaper than door to door. I just rode up on the bike, did an inspection, and they took it away. On the other end they rolled out out the bike and the buyer rode it home.

I had a bike shipped from Massachusetts to California. No problems, affordable, and easy to work with. They're small, and as I understood they consolidate their shipping schedule, so it can take up to month from start to finish. If I recall, mine took three weeks.

I've had a couple experiences shipping a bike. Always use a shipping service that operates their own trucks, a dealer can recommended one. I had a good experience with Eagle One Express:

You should avoid the shipping brokers that do not have their own equipment but instead find truckers going through that will agree to haul your bike. This service can be unreliable in terms of schedule and how they treat your bike. In my experience I waited a month until they finally found a trucker who ended up getting mad at the seller and refused to get the bike. I had to drive 1000 miles to pick up the bike myself when the seller said he couldn't store it any longer. The shipping broker kept my deposit.

The local shop uses piano shippers that do dual duty as bike shippers. I think they use the same heavy duty dollies for the bikes as they do the pianos and their truck as set up for these dollies etc. Local dealer says they are very good and reasonable, to the point they ship to the east coast with the guys. I just dont know the name of the shipper, but as mentioned above, maybe your local dealer can recommend one.

That sounds right for the truck I saw at the shop the other day. Was loading up three bikes to go back east. Dollies looked pretty trick, were for grand pianos and they truck looked clean as did the driver/loader. Shop manager said they don't use anyone else. Thanks for coming up with the name.

I have also used Eagle One. They don't require you to drain fluids or use a shipping pallet, securing the bike in their two-tier trailer indiviually as if you were trailering it.

Try calling Pony Express.310 409-9890 I believe his name is Ryan.

He shipped my bike from AZ to MO in three days.Very open about shipment and even shipped a large box full of acc.with it.

He has a custom built enclosed trailer and does a fantastic job of trapping down the bike with NO damage.(I shipped an RT...always diff. to find tie down points.

Good Luck
