palani
I have purchased new spark plugs for my R1200rt from the dealership and noticed the plugs are from NGK and not from Bosh like my original ones. Are there any differences in performance between them? Do the spark plugs come gaped out of the factory? The manual calls for gap 0.03 +/-0.01in, when I use the feeler gage my new plugs show more like 0.012. Any thoughts on that? My old Bosh plugs show 0.02 in. Thanks Link to comment

SuperG
NGK DCPR8EIX = to the denso, single electrode iridium. Available on amazon or at your local Autozone parts store for $7.99 These spark plugs also for the BMW M3 6 cylinder car as well. Autozone knows these plugs as part #6546 Gap for the BMW r1200rt is .8mm ( metric, since we have a Euro bike. ) PS: changing all 4 plugs is rather easy, without even pulling the fairings. PS2: at 36K miles cross-hatching is still visible on the cylinder walls... amazing Link to comment
