Hey Guys

I see winter is still happening over there. My girlfriend just arrived at Breckenridge for 10 days of skiing.

Lots of snow and heavy falls yesterday. My that would be nice.

I suppose Colorado types are anxiously awaiting the riding season ?

Thats why I live in Northern california. 364 out of 365 days for riding and if I want skiing then its an hour and a half drive to the Sierra mountains. In the summer the snow melts and great roads for riding.

Same in Canberra, ride all year not even -8C puts me off riding (short rides only though)

Autumn now this really is the best time for riding, warm temperatures, light winds, shame that they are burning off Namadgi National Park at the moment as the smoke is pretty bad down that way.

Colorado weather can be crazy sometimes. Here on the plains just east of the mountains, it was 70F and sunny a couple of days ago, and then we got a foot of wet heavy snow yesterday. With the sun out now, and warming termperatures again, the snow is disappearing rapidly. This has been a colder and snowier winter this year, but there are usually several nice stretches of days during the winter where we can get out riding. So there isn't exactly a beginning or end to the riding "season".

Then we get one of these major storms. Fortunately, it usually melts away quickly. Ah, spring in the Rockies...
