I'm confused by upgrade options for LED/flashing brake light

I want to upgrade the brake light on my 2004 RT to have a flashing function and/or LEDs. The websites that I have found are confusing (to me at least) and not that much help. I have tried searching this forum as well. It could be that I'm not the brightest bulb in the box either.

 

The light upgrade should be relatively simple to install, functional and reliable. What's the best way to go...Kisan, Hyperlites, others...? I would appreciate your recommendations and if you know the specific item that I should order that would be very helpful.

I installed the BMW tail light/ stoplight combo, works well and it's bright, flashes 4 times on each brake actuation and it's all LED, so low power draw and visible.

Hyperlites did the trick for me, mounted on the side reflectors (facing rear of course!).

One thing, I ordered HyperLites direct, but then looked around later, and found a much better price.

Skene P3s here. Instructions were simple, whole installation took 10 minutes. They definitely get people's attention.

I have the Roadrocketeer.com LED'S and the BMW LED installed on my '04 RT . When I hit the brakes, it clears a couple of car lengths behind me. Great add on and esay to install.
