Dundee387
Anyone ride VT. Route 103 lately? I'm planning a trip (possibly this Saturday) from Connecticut to Otter Creek Brewery in Middlebury, VT. Gonna import some fresh brew.. Scenic road? Conditions, places to stop for food? Due to time constraints I plan on 91 north to 103, to rt. 7., into Middlebury. Any info would be appreciated. TomK
I don't know 103 but 7 is a pretty blah state highway. Depending on your time constraints you might consider picking up 140 in East Wallingford to Poultney (crosses the mountains with nice country curves) and then 22a to Bridport (pretty straight and wide open but the scenery is nice and you can crank up a little speed) and 125 into Middlebury. This route has the added benefit of avoiding Rutland. Link to comment
Art..
103 is fairly straight, wide, and boring. It's the main connector between Ludlow and Rutland. Link to comment
RayD
Dundee, make sure you make a run on Rt 17. Just a little north of middlebury. It connects rt7 to rt100 all I can say is AWESOME. you can probably find some eats on rt 100 Ray Link to comment
TomK
Dundee, make sure you make a run on Rt 17. Just a little north of middlebury. I crossed the App Gap on Rt 17 today for the first time since last fall. Lots of new frost heaves. Hold on tight! Link to comment
