mos
Just installed a set of Ohlin shocks on the 05 R12RT. I want to install the damper adjuster under the seat and not near the left passenger foot peg. I think I have seen a post on this but can't find it. Mike Link to comment
marcopolo
You certainly can do that. I had Ohlins installed on my '06 RT last summer and they put the pre-load adjuster under the seat. I do not have any pictures of it and my bike's still in winter storage. Don't know the thread you're referring to; have you tried searching for "Ohlins" in the Hexheads forum? Link to comment
mos
Yes I have seen it before. I just need some info on how to. Link to comment
Dave_zoom_zoom
Got it, Thanks Great! Can you share a reference that would be helpful to the rest of us? Link to comment
lawnchairboy
I just laid mine right under the rear seat, no sweat. It is not going anywhere. Link to comment

It seems I'm not able to access that reference. Most likely because I'm not an MOA member. Guess I'll just let the preload adjuster lay on top of the back fender. Thanks for trying!!! Mike On the R12RT, there's a bracket for the adjuster straight behind and slightly up from the diagnostic port. Link to comment

CoarsegoldKid
My Ohlins adjuster is ahead of the footpeg so I could get to it while the side cases were on. The instuctions have it behind the footpeg and it did have interference with the side case for some reason. Link to comment
mos
I am not sure where you are talking about. Could you provide a picture? Mike Link to comment
CoarsegoldKid
My bad. Not actually where I said but still ahead of the foot peg. It's not as easy to grab I must admit. Link to comment
mos
Thanks, That is where I installed mine under the seat. Made my own bracket. Mike Link to comment
