I still haven't figured out why naked bikes don't sell as well here in the US. The R series is a perfect bike in nearly every sense for daily commutes or touring.

Congratulations, you'll love it. My wife has the 1150 version and we both enjoy riding it.

It's a gorgeous bike. I think it's easily one of the nicest looking BMW's availalbe. In Austin an unfaired bike might be OK, but further north wind protection really extends the riding season. I've ridden unfaired bike. Love the look and feel, but if I can only have one bike, I like it faired.

Survived-til-now

I hope you have many happy hours riding.....

What is also interesting is the way BMW have lashed it down. Note that it is not with a strap across the seat or to the grab rails nor to the handle bars. It's lashed down exactly as I made a repair truck do it when my BMW had to go to the garage and got grumbled at for my pains.

Ferry operators would do well to note how its done as well

What is that color?

Is that the same Blue as on an '09 RT?

If it is, never really cared for it on an RT.

Looks beautiful here.

Jazzed much?

Enjoy

I had one of these for a day or two while my RT was in for service. A lot of fun, I'd have one as a 2nd bike for warmer days.

I'm sure you'll enjoy.
