blaisew
While the Sticky Throttle topic is still fresh, 'thought I'd jump in with my quick question. To remove the back half of the throttle housing, containing the switches, I figured that all one had to do was remove the two screws and rotate it away, like on my old 1100RT. But noooooo, it won't come free, and if I try to firmly pull, it feels like I'm going to pull the wiring apart or something equally drastic. It comes free to start with, especially at the top, but the bottom will not come away. I've tried lifting, sliding, rotating, same thing; it won't come free. Is it me, or?????? Link to comment

JonathanE
I sorta remember having similar issues getting the throttle off of my '00 1150GS, but I think the solution to my problem had something to do with the mirror (which shouldn't apply to you as your mirror is in the fairing), or maybe a small allen screw hidden in there. It was a while ago, so my memory is probably all wrong anyways. Good luck. Link to comment
blaisew
Thanks Twisty; that's the diagram that I needed. Wow, I didn't even get half way there on removing screws! Ken Link to comment
