AZKomet
Sort of.... The Mrs says hey when you gonna take me somewhere cool? You know, like you always go? UUUUUUUHHHHHHH SOON? B/c she knows I am planning a trip to S.A. or India........Already have an India connection so maybe there? So here were are in our villa overlooking the caribbean. It is right outside El Yunque (joon-kay) rain forest at the very edge perched on a hilltop and gorgeous. The villa is awesome with mexican tiled floors, brightly colored and a bed that I want to have when I get home. No need for a/c as it is very pleasant all the time. We have an outside kitchen that Emeril would kill for. Our patio and kitchen is perched on the edge of the hillside and the views are endless. We hacve it for a week and prior to this we were @ Isla Vieques and loved it. We visited the Gio bay at night and you HAVE to see this. AMAZING. We kayaked our a$$e$ to the middle of mosquito bay at night to have a swim in the bay with the glow in the dark critters. Once in the water it was fascinating. Esch movement yielded light and the more you moved the brighter it got. When you would bounce out of the water the critters would roll off your wet suit like radioactive BB's. It was truly incredible. ONce we leave here it is off to Aricebo and all points beyond for hiking. After that it is a cruise to the southern carribean. Ahhhhhh, wonder what the rest of the world is doing??? For more info on the Bio Bay and El Yuinque take a look. Pics upon return. http://www.elenas-vieques.com/bioluminescent.html http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/caribbean/ I must say that of all the rain forests I have been in the world (in cluding the Daintree) this is the place I like most.....absolutely beautiful. My only dissappointment is the lack of animals. Of course being an island that says it all. Link to comment

Boone60
So there's not one naturalist among any of you???? Hi Dave, Yes, I feel that I'm inclined to be a naturalist, and I've been enjoying the nature of Northern Wisconsin today. It is a bit rainforesty around here today, foggy and misty with the mating calls of the birds and the rushing waters of the snowmelt. I just glanced out the patio window and noticed a brightly colored pheasant rooster strolling over my septic mound. He stopped at the top and shook the moisture off his feathers. It sounds like you are also at a lovely place, I'll check the pictures when you get them up. Link to comment
