The new Canuck

snookers

Recommended Posts

Hello all.....I'm new to this site as well.

Although I'm not new to motorcycling I have recently purchased my first ever Beemer......a year 2000 R1100RT, to which I am eagerly awaiting the loss of snow on the roads so I can bring her home.

I've been lurking around the site for a while now and hope to improve my Beemer knowledge from your experiances.

Welcome Snookers, you came to the right place and you have a great bike. We have been discussing the merits of the 1100 boxer recently and I think they are the best choice. I fired mine up yesterday and did 100 miles. Spring is here(I hope)

Hamilton, eh. Well you must get to know our Fearless Leader and Brilliant Fixer, Lawrence Hogarth, famous for trips to James Bay, Goose Bay.... and revered leader of the Ontario Airheadz (which now includes lots of the newfangled and complicated Oilheads too).

The Airheadz have major and minor repair tech days, scoots, and a very helpful mail-list for questions and all kinds of local help for tools, advice, parts, etd. A bit dead last year, due to rain, but generally a pretty active group.

Y'all come on down to Louisiana. Great food, great riding, great people, warm weather (our three days of winter are over), and we speak French (Cajun actually, but close enough !!)

We also have alligators and the Swamp People nearby
