johnlt
For the R1200RT, are the Works aftermarket shocks considered by the community at a comparable performance level as Wilbers or Ohlins? I am aware that Works offers a shock that will work with the OEM ESA mechanism and have read a couple posts of people that have gone that way but haven’t really gotten any feedback on the performance of the shock itself. I know the ESA conversion works well based on several posts, but does that just result in “OEM” level of performance or truly enhanced performance that one might get with Ohlins or Wilbers. GordonB
The "performance" will imorove with any aftermarket shock. The ESA portion is mereley adapted to the Works shock. You may also want to contact Race Tech they are now rebuilding OEM ESA shocks with added performance. Do not know their costs, if you find out please let us know. Link to comment

Yes I'm aware that they just adapt the ESA to the Works shock. What I'm wanting to know is from a suspension perspecitive (independent of ESA) with Wilbers and Ohlins at at 9 or 10 and OEM and a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1 - 10, where would the Works come in? I know it's subjective but would appreciate some opinions. Link to comment
Tapatio
I recently installed a set of Works ESA shocks. Here's my review of them. Works ESA Review Link to comment
