Richard_D
Does any one know where I can get a security screwdriver for the Garmin 2610 ? Link to comment
RT_Jim
Call Garmin. I lost mine and I called them and they mailed me a new one - no charge! Just make sure you tell them its for the 2610 and not the Zumo - different security screw, therefore a different screwdriver. Jim Link to comment
JayW
Some of the "tamperproof" bit sets sold at hardware stores come with a bit that will work. Jay Link to comment
jfremder
After you get the screw out, replace it with this... http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51094 Link to comment
RichEdwards
Harbor Freight. By the way, with the Zumo 660 the security screw issue dissappeared. Garmin now provides a quick release for their GPS devices. I believe that they feel it was smarter to make it easy for the owner to remove his GPS quickly and take it with him rather depend on security screws, etc. which can be defeated by a thief in a few seconds. Jerry Johnston
I used a small sewing machine screw driver once when I couldn't find mine. I've since replaced it with a screw that has a knob since I remove it anyway (if the bike is out of sight). Link to comment
