Hi...

I bought a Jensen radio JDH 910 which is totally waterproof & has external audio input as well as a weather band radio, am/ FM and headphone jack, I just mounted the unit above my Master Cylinder, fits really good there, easy access to all the rubberized keys, audio etc.. although one thing it does block my right mirror slightly.. If your interested in a radio for your ride check out the link below:

anyway I bought an antenna made for a HD fairing which installs inside the fairing so no antenna showing which is great. I noticed when I removed the left tupperware there is a small group of wires run up towards the fairing, they are located on the left lower frame rail and tie wrapped to a large wiring harness..

2 of the wires have 2 exposed spade type connections I think these maybe for the radio option.. I checked the connectors and everything has no power except a small white 2 pin female connector which is powered, I was thinking of using this to power the radio which only requires a 3 amp circuit, does anyone know if this white connector is fused?? If this is for the radio any ideas where I might find the mail connector?

Thanks for all the help you have given me.. I really appreciate your help. Ride Safe and Stay Warm..

That is a cool unit. Something like that would be perfect for tankbag mounting on a GS for someone who wanted AM/FM and it would hold up well even for someone like me that actualy tends to forget that the bike is not really designed for goat trails...

Do keep us informed on how it works out for you and on the performance of the unit please.

As for wiring it to the bike I would use a secondary fuse panel and relay triggered by either the head or tail light myself, unless you want the option of listening with the bike off then I would skip the relay and rely on remebering to turn it off manualy but still use the add on fuse block.

Stewart, not sure what you have in the factory radio area for pre-wiring but if you don’t have a fuse in the #8 cavity of the fuse box stick a fuse in that cavity then re-check your connectors in the radio area..
