OlGeezer
For those of you who are planning to enter the Three Flags Classic, if you haven't submitted your entry you need to do so ASAP. The deadline is less than a week away. If you don't know what the Three Flags Classic is, go to: http://3flagsclassic.org/index.html Personally, this is my favorite organized motorcycle ride. It's a casual pace, about 500 miles per day, mostly two lane roads that I have never ridden in my entire life. Normally, this is a four day ride starting on the Friday before Labor Day weekend and concluding on Monday. Every five years, including this year, it becomes a five day ride. It always starts in Mexico and ends in Canada or vice-versa. This year it's vice-versa starting in Regina, Saskatchewan and ending in Puerto Penasco. For those who don't know about Puerto Penasco (aka Rocky Point), it's mostly an American Tourist town about 60 miles from the border on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. With this location as the terminus, we will be avoiding all of the violence associated with the Mexican border. You can download a route from the website. The entry fee includes several gift items most notably a collector's belt buckle and a banquet at the end. If you have any questions about the event, I will try to answer it or find out the answer. grant8la
I'm in! Rider #107. It's my first time and I can't Wait. I do have a question. Do most participants have the time to ride up...and then start the ride? or do more people ship their bikes...which ain't cheap. thanks! Link to comment

I did the Tijuana - Penticton trip and 1/2 the adventure was getting to the start line and from the finish line to home. The Three Flags is very well organized, although you get to ride your own ride. Perfect. Can't wait for your ride tale. Link to comment
