Ron Williams
Went out on the bike today R1150rt I noticed a bad squeak in the front end. It seems to happen when I hit a bump in the road. I can push the bike smoothly up and down with out hearing the squeak. Any ideas on where I need to start Link to comment
NonComp
Start by removing and greasing the lower shock mount bolt on the front shock. On mine, it creaked until it was lubricated. Link to comment
realshelby
+1 on the lower shock mount. The edges of the shocks lower mount rubbing against the suspension arm is where my similar noise was coming from. Took a while to find it, after checking that is was tight I sprayed a squirt of WD-40 on it. End of noise. I made a habit of hitting it with a squirt after washing each time. Don't have the problem with the Ohlins. Link to comment
