flars
I need the tool that keeps the clutch housing (flywheel) from turning when you are torquing up the bolts. What did you guys use -did you make one up, or did you buy one? Link to comment
Boffin
Try a wooden wedge between the case and the starter gear. Andy Link to comment

What did you guys use -did you make one up, or did you buy one? Are you talking about torquing the flywheel bolts or the clutch bolts? If the latter, you can insert a bolt through the flywheel into a hole in the crankcase that is there for that purpose. Link to comment
flars
I am trying to torque the 5 FLYWHEEL bolts - the ones that take 29 lb-ft, plus 32 degrees. Link to comment

I'd be tempted to use the bolt through the flywheel. I guess you could also put a ratchet with an extension on the other end of the crank (at the pulley for the alt. belt) and place it so that it would contact the floor or wooden blocks to prevent rotation.
