Great (but tough) couple of days Thursday and Friday. I've had the privelege to serve as the Executive Officer to the Director of Air, Space and Information Operations at HQ of the Air Force Reserve Command. This Major General is the greatest military leader I have ever been around. We wanted to make his retirement a world class event. We succeded. We held a retirement dinner Thursday night at the Air Force Museum at Robins AFB GA. For his 37 year distinguished career he was recognized by the highest levels of leadership from the Secretary of the Air Force to the President. He was so beloved and respected that over 250 patriots showed up to honor him - voluntarily! My brothers-in-arms will understand that comment. The turnout was a great testament not to the people he Commanded but to the lives he touched. For entertainment we flew in the 82nd Airborne All American chorus from Ft. Bragg NC. All I can say is WOW!

Here is a link to a performance I found on YouTube, enjoy:

Monday will be an empty day in the office.

With Total Respect,

David W. Hutchinson, Lt Col, USAF

Executive Officer to the Director of Air, Space and Information Operations

We went to here the Army Chorus two weeks ago for a concert at the Nashville Symphony hall. It was really, really good. Most any of the two dozen members could have had outstanding solo careers.
