Based on the effectiveness of the Colts' offense against the Patriot defense just minutes earlier, Belichick made the right call. He bet on his offense to get 2.5 yards - a bet almost all observers would have made - and lost. Link to comment

His worry at the end was not whether or not they would score, bur rather insuring that everyone in the huddle understood that they should take their time while scoring. I was rooting for Indy, and thought they were dead. Great game. Link to comment
