The morning rain Ida brought us has drifted off to the northwest and the sun is peaking through the low clouds. The chores are done and there are about 2 ½ hours of daylight remaining in the day. A decision needs to be made: A. Head out into the woods, sit stock still on a stump, and hope to see a nice buck or B. Head out onto the road sitting on the RT while hoping not to see a deer. Decision made! Ride it is. North over Lempster Mountain (really just a big hill) where there’s a nice view of the wind farm. Back south on Rt 31 with a stop at Pillsbury State Park Washington, NH Historical marker The Franklin Pierce homestead Home in time for cocktails with zero whitetail sightings! Life is good! Their is one in your photos. So let me get this straight. Home in time for whitetails with zero cocktail sighting. okay I hear you now. Will we be traveling together to the UN next year? This is the one I didn't want to see crossing the road: Whitetail I'm trying to make the Un work for 2010 although I'll probably have to fly at least one direction to save time.
