Christmas is different. C'mon guys. The "X" represents the Chi from the christogram, Chi-Rho(PX). You know, the symbol envisioned by Constantine, Wiki . Even though it had pagan meaning, it is generally accepted as a shorthand reference to Christ, a christogram. Sunday School, with honors . Link to comment

I always figured the "X" was sortof an alphabetical representation of the crucifix. It always seemed to me that "t-mas" would perhaps have been a better choice. Link to comment
