Svensk Posted July 13, 2009 Share Posted July 13, 2009 Scott, An easy ride would be Rt 7 East from the Albany area (Troy) to the VT border and then Rt 9 right across VT and a good portion of NH. Stay with Rt 202 out of Rochester, NH to Gorham, ME and then head east to Portland. Sections of these roads are scenic and fun to ride and for the most part the road is quite good. You won’t however completely avoid the strip mall scenery. Depending on how much time you have to spare, there are numerous smaller roads that are excellent rides, but don’t necessarily lead in the right direction. For example, Rt 100 North in VT or Rt 63 North in NH connecting to Rt 123 East in NH. If you want more specifics let me know and I’ll gladly send you some suggestions. Have a great time in NS.
