R1100RT REAR BRAKE QUESTION

I recently changed the rear tire on my 2000 R1100RT and after putting the wheel back on I noticed that my mushy rear brake pedal was no longer so mushy. Not that I use it much but I did notice the difference. I also noticed today after coming back from a short ride that there seemed to be more brake dust on the rear wheel than I would normally have. The rear wheel seems to turn freely when the brake is not on. We are going on a fairly long trip in a couple of weeks and I want to make sure I don't have a problem brewing. Any suggestions on what might of caused this?

Well I don't think I have a problem. Just took the bike for a 20 mile jaunt never touching the rear brake and when I got home the brake was cool. Thought at first the brake might have been rubbing. I'm thinking all is well.
