Neil_K Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Well after 2 1/2 years on a 1987 K75S, I have a problem I really do need help with. Riding the other day, I lost one cylinder. I checked connections and sparks, all looked OK enough, but I could not figure out the issue. Just when I was about to park it and call in the cavalry, the cylinder came back to life. I rode it ~150 miles since. Now today, riding in the mountains, the cylinder went out again, and I could not get it to come back. I managed to get it limped to a friends house using the two functioning cylinders. I live in the NE and plan to call Bob's or Bud, since I totally do not have time to fix it, but am handy enough to do so if someone has a good bead on the problem. I checked the sparkwires, plugs (the one not firing has carbon all over it, but is not gummed)., and connections to the coils. Any thoughts before I spend the $$ for the pros to pick it up? Many thanks in advance! Neil
