Swing arm Pivot Cover

I purchased a set of Hornig anodized swing arm pivot covers and a matching frame cover for my R1200ST from A&S BMW. There is a black BMW factory cap over the left swing arm pivot. Does anyone know how to remove it? I checked the BMW maintenance DVD but found no directions for removing this cap.
